JEWELRY CARE
Our gold fill jewelry is real gold which means the materials we use do not rust so naturally water will not cause damage and make your jewelry tarnish.
There are chemicals in an everyday life that can cause harsh damage to your piece. We would suggest being very careful when using chemicals such as harsh soaps, harsh shampoos, body lotions and perfumes.
It is highly recommended to remove your piece before using the gym, swimming pools, spas and hot tubs. Chlorine can damage and discolour the metals which ultimately will erode the finish and the polish of any gem stones.
If you do accidently forget to take your jewelery off we would recommend cleaning your piece with warm water, a soft bristle brush if you have one and make sure you dry it off as soon as possible.
If not cleaned straight away it can permanently damage your jewelery.
How to store my jewelery
The correct way to store your jewelery is in a dry, fabric lined jewerlry box. If you don’t have a jewelery box store the pieces in a velvet bag. Keep any other pieces in separate jewelery bags. This will help prevent them from scratching one another.
Store your pieces at room temperature and out of direct sunlight. This will help to prevent premature tarnishing and discolouration.
Cleaning
Day to day cleaning
We would recommend you clean your piece once you have finished wearing it with a polishing cloth, this will help remove any sweat, lotions and oils before storing away your piece.
Weekly cleaning
Cleaning your piece weekly will be beneficial to keep your piece looking shiny and like new. This will help remove all oils and dirt from your piece that may have been missed from your day to day cleaning.
To clean your piece, take some warm water, mild soap and a soft bristled brush. Lightly scrub your piece thoroughly and rinse off making sure no soap residue it still on your piece.
Once you have cleaned your piece dry it off with a soft cloth. Lightly polishing your piece with a polishing cloth will help maintain it looking shinny.
